Yoga Intructor
I have been teaching Vinyasa and Yin Yoga in London for the past few years and have been practising for over 10 years. I first discovered yoga when I was 21 and instantly loved it. I loved that yoga was a way of keeping fit, building strength and toning my body. I then was swayed into the high intensity/running fitness trends which deep down I hated but pushed my body through it as the instructors always encouraged me to ‘push through the pain’ and ‘go faster and harder’. For some people this really works, but for me it didn’t sit right. My cortisol levels were through the roof, my nervous system was in overdrive, I had digestive problems – it was not working for me. It wasn’t until my late twenties when I experienced a huge personal shift in my life that I rediscovered yoga. I found that yes, backbends and standing on your head can be fun and impressive, however, the true practice of yoga is about using the body to understand what is going on internally on a spiritual level. It encourages introspection and self-inquiry, helping us cultivate compassion, gratitude, and a greater connection to the present moment. In my classes I like to build confidence with my clients, making them feel stronger and more flexible. However, I also invite them to calm their minds and listen to their bodies giving them a sense of empowerment.

In creating an hour-long yoga class for my clients, whether they are beginners or intermediate practitioners, I focus on tailoring each session to meet their specific needs and abilities. I begin by assessing their experience level, physical condition, and personal goals to craft a class that offers the right balance of challenge and accessibility. For beginners, I emphasise foundational poses, alignment, and breathing techniques to build confidence and body awareness. For intermediate clients, I introduce more complex sequences, deeper stretches, and opportunities for growth in strength and flexibility. By customising each class, I ensure that every woman feels supported, engaged, and capable of progressing at their own pace.
